KIDDERMINSTER Town Council is hosting a public screening of a climate emergency film to raise awareness and spark community conversation.

The council will show the 50-minute film People’s Emergency Briefing at Kidderminster Town Hall on Monday, September 21, at 6.30pm.

The screening is supported by the Wyre Forest Green Alliance and will be followed by a facilitated discussion on the impact of changing weather patterns.

Councillor Vicky Caulfield said: "I saw this film at a community screening in Bewdley and feel very strongly that it should be accessible to the people of Kidderminster.

"Recent weather conditions have shown that we are not immune locally.

"It’s a film that everyone should see."

The film highlights the impact of drought, wildfires and other climate threats on health, the economy and food security.

Entry is free, but tickets must be booked in advance via the Kidderminster Town Hall website.

The Corn Exchange café will be open before the screening.
