A councillor has said that there is 'no excuse' for fly-tipping after items were dumped on a road in Stourport.
The dumped waste was identified by Wyre Forest District Council's Civil Enforcement Team on Saturday (August 22) on Areley Lane, with a picture of the waste shared on social media.
After the items were discovered, Stourport Town Councillor for Areley Kings West, Ken Henderson, said there is 'no excuse' for fly-tipping anywhere in the district.
Cllr Henderson also confirmed that he had reported the fly-tipped waste to Wyre Forest District Council for removal 'as soon as possible'.
Cllr Henderson said: "There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behaviour anywhere in the district."
Wyre Forest District Council has confirmed that it requested collection of the fly-tipped waste and reaffirmed its commitment to taking action against those responsible for fly-tipping offences in the area.
A Wyre Forest District Council spokesperson said: "We are aware of the fly-tipping incident on Areley Lane in Stourport.
"Our Civil Enforcement Team identified the dumped waste on Saturday, August 22 and has requested collection of the items.
"Fly-tipping is a serious offence that is unsightly, can pollute land and waterways, and can be dangerous to the public and wildlife.
"We are committed to keeping our communities clean and taking action where evidence is available to identify those responsible.
"We encourage anyone who comes across flytipped waste to report it through My Wyre Forest so that we can investigate and take appropriate action."
