A road in Kidderminster is set to close for roadworks a matter of weeks after it reopened following the repair of a sinkhole.

Sutton Road is set to close near its junction with Stourport Road as National Grid carries out utility asset work, with this latest closure due to begin on Monday, September 21.

According to the Worcestershire County Council website, Sutton Road will remain closed until Friday, September 25.

The impending closure will come a matter of weeks after the road was reopened on Friday, September 4, following the completion of the 'complex repair' of a collapsed sewer and sinkhole by Severn Trent Water.

Sutton Road was closed for nearly eight weeks due to the collapsed sewer.
