FOUR men from Kidderminster have arrived in Paris as they embark on an epic 1,300-mile journey from North Worcestershire to Benidorm in Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine in memory of a well-known local man.

Scott Boraston, alongside Graham Wilde, Steven Buckley, and Matt McGinly, are currently taking part in The Rat Run 2026, which involves them driving from Kidderminster to Benidorm in a van they bought for less than £600, dressed as characters from Scooby Doo.

Scott and his comrades set off from Kidderminster on Monday (September 7) and arrived in Paris this morning (Wednesday, September 9) as part of a 10-hour journey from Rouen to Bordeaux.

The crew, dressed as Shaggy, Scooby Doo, Velma, and Fred, are hoping to arrive in Benidorm on Friday (September 11).

The epic journey is taking place in memory of John Wilde, who took his own life earlier this year.

To date, Scott, Graham, Steven, and Matt have raised over £3,400 for charity in John's memory, with Scott saying that he and his travel companions have been 'overwhelmed' by the generosity of the local community.

The quartet have also been supported by several businesses from across Kidderminster, including Carmas, Davies Skip Hire, AG Recycling, Goldstar Windows, and Stourport's Jab Lab Boxing Gym.

Scott said: "We are overwhelmed by the response of the local community and companies for their generosity, support and donations to the charity.

"I would like to thank everyone who has donated and hope we have made plenty of people smile and laugh while taking this challenge on."
