A popular venue has said that it is 'really disappointed' that an I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star has cancelled her show in Kidderminster and say the decision was 'out of their hands'.
US comedian Ruby Wax OBE, who starred on the 25th series of the hit ITV show, was due to appear at Kidderminster Town Hall as part of her 'An Evening With Ruby Wax' tour.
However, the former I'm a Celeb star announced on Tuesday (September 8) that, due to circumstances 'out of her control', the tour had been cancelled.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the 73-year-old said: “We’ve done everything we can behind the scenes to try and find a way forward, but sadly this is no longer possible.
“I know this will be hugely disappointing for those of you who have booked tickets, particularly if you’ve already made plans around the shows, and I’m truly sorry.
“I had been very much looking forward to seeing you, and I’m disappointed that we won’t get to share these evenings together.”
After the tour was cancelled, Kidderminster Town Hall took to social media to express its disappointment, and urged people with tickets for the cancelled show to contact the provider to arrange a refund.
Writing on social media, Kidderminster Town Hall said: “As you may have already seen online, Ruby Wax has chosen to cancel her forthcoming tour, in which we were part of.
“These things do happen from time to time, and we wish Ruby well.
“On this occasion, the tickets were sold externally, by the promoting company. You will receive an email from them with a refund.
“Please feel free to contact your ticket provider directly if you haven’t heard from them already.
“We’re really disappointed to have a cancelled show amongst our programme, but this one is out of our hands.”
