A STOURPORT manufacturer’s fundraising champion is preparing to trade the factory floor for the Arctic in a bid to support Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Charlie Macaulay‑Collins, business support team manager at Trueline Products, will travel to Sweden in early 2027 to take part in the Acorns Arctic Survival Challenge, a nine‑day expedition 150km south of the Arctic Circle.

Between February 28 and March 7, she will learn survival skills and complete activities including husky driving, snowmobiling, ice fishing, fire‑lighting, shelter building and sleeping in a hand‑dug snow hole.

Through the expedition, Ms Macaulay‑Collins is aiming to raise £5,000 for Acorns, which provides specialist palliative care and support for children and young people with life‑limiting and life‑threatening conditions and their families.

She said: “I’m incredibly excited, and maybe a little nervous, but most of all, I’m proud to be taking on this challenge for such an amazing charity.

"Acorns provides vital care and support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families.

"Trueline Products is proud to support Acorns as our charity of the year, and this challenge is going to be one of our biggest fundraising adventures yet."

Ms Macaulay‑Collins is Trueline’s designated fundraising champion and was recognised with the company’s Community Award in 2026.

The challenge is also a reflection of Trueline Products’ broader community ethos.

The family‑run business lists Acorns as its main charity partner, alongside ongoing support for KEMP Hospice and Sponsored Breaks, with staff regularly taking part in fundraising events, volunteering days and team activities.

As the countdown to the Arctic begins, colleagues at Trueline are backing Ms Macaulay‑Collins’ training and fundraising drive.

The company says every donation, share and word of encouragement will help her reach the £5,000 target and support Acorns’ work.
