Significant tailbacks have been reported along a main road between Kidderminster and Stourbridge.

There are currently temporary traffic lights in place along the A451 Stourbridge Road with drivers reporting being stuck in "awful" queues.

One driver said: "It's so bad. I had no idea they were putting traffic lights up.

"I was stuck for over 20 minutes - the queues were awful."

The roadworks are expected to remain in place until the end of tomorrow (Friday, September 18).

The traffic lights between the junction at Waggon Lane and the junction at Beechtree Lane are needed to facilitate utility repair and maintenance work by Openreach.
