A charity concert in Kidderminster is set to support 'our brave firefighters' after the 'horrendous' fires in Stourbridge.

The charity concert, called 'fighting fire with song', will take place on Saturday, October 31 at 2.30pm at Kidderminster Town Hall.

The special concert will involve the Kidderminster Valentines Choir and Worcester Male Voice Choir, and will raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity in the aftermath of the fires in Stourbridge in August that were battled by emergency services.

Chris Sankey is the concert secretary of the Kidderminster Valentines Choir, and says that the charity concert will support the 'brave firefighters who are always there when needed.'

She said: “I felt that after the horrendous fire in Stourbridge, so much help and support went out to the residents who were affected, so I thought that it would also be great to do something to show support for our brave firefighters, who are always there when needed, hence the idea for this concert.”

Tickets to the event will cost £10 for adults and £6 for under-16s, and are available through choristers or Judy Morris, who can be contacted on 01562 751753.

The event will also feature a special charity raffle.
