Cricket icon Lord Ian Botham is set to appear in a special live event in Kidderminster.

He will take to the stage at Kidderminster Town Hall on May 3, 2027, for an evening of stories and reflections from his legendary sporting career.

Lord Botham, known to generations of fans as "Beefy", played 102 Test matches for England, scoring 5,200 runs and taking 383 wickets.

Curtis Fudge, business manager at Kidderminster Town Hall, said: "We are really excited to welcome Lord Ian Botham to the Town Hall. He is a true sporting legend whose name is woven into some of cricket’s greatest moments.

"Whether you watched the 1981 Ashes as they happened or have grown up hearing the stories, this is a chance to hear from the man at the heart of them. We can't wait to welcome him to Kidderminster."

His match-winning performances during the 1981 Ashes series remain some of the most celebrated moments in English cricket history.

Beyond the pitch, Lord Botham is also well known for his charity work, particularly his charity walks and fundraising for leukaemia research.

The live event will give audiences an opportunity to hear about the highs, challenges, and standout moments of his career, told in his own words.

Tickets are available via the Kidderminster Town Hall website.
