Sandbags are being made available to help residents prepare for potential flooding.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for wind is in place from 10am to 9pm on Friday (October 23).

The warning covers strong winds and heavy rain that could cause disruption and increase the risk of flooding.

In a post on social media, Wyre Forest District Council said: "If your property has flooded before, or you live in an area known to be vulnerable to flooding, now is a good time to check you're prepared and stay up to date with the latest forecasts."

Sandbags can be collected from the Queens Head pub car park in Wolverley (for properties near Horse Brook), as well as Vale Road car park in Stourport (DY13 8YJ) and Dog Lane car park in Bewdley (DY12 2EF).
