Transition Bewdley, through its Bewdley Energy project, has proposed the installation of 'community-owned' solar panels on public car parks in the town.
A pilot scheme on a section of Dog Lane car park has been proposed, with Transition Bewdley saying that if this is successful, it could be adopted across other car parks in Bewdley and the Wyre Forest.
As part of the proposals, a public consultation is set to be launched, with residents invited to take part between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday, November 7 at the WyreRoom in St George's Hall.

A Transition Bewdley spokesperson said: "Transition Bewdley, through its Bewdley Energy project, has been looking at ways to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and increase the town's capacity to provide local sustainable energy.
"We have been looking at installing community-owned solar arrays on car park canopies both to provide shelter from sun and rain, and to provide a local source of 'green' energy to benefit residents, community services, and local businesses.
"We are proposing a pilot scheme on a section of Dog Lane car park which, if successful, could be adopted across other car parks in Bewdley and the Wyre Forest.
"Please come and talk to us about this anytime between 2pm and 5pm Saturday, November 7, when we will be interested to hear your views on this and other ways of developing community energy in Bewdley."
