A woman is hoping to bring 'Christmas magic' to children with disabilities in the Wyre Forest area with a chocolate appeal.

Suzanne Giles-Pulley has launched her chocolate appeal for Christmas 2026 as she aims to collect festive treats that can be shared between children and young adults with disabilities in Stourport, Kidderminster, and the surrounding areas.

2026 will be the fifth year of the chocolate appeal, with Suzanne, a mum to a disabled child, saying that she is determined to ensure that children with disabilities do not 'miss out on the Christmas treats and experiences that other children take for granted'.

In 2025, Suzanne's appeal helped supply chocolate to nearly 1,000 disabled children and young adults.

"I’m running the Chocolate Appeal again this year because so many children with disabilities miss out on the Christmas treats and experiences that other children take for granted," Suzanne said.

"For some, a visit from Santa in a familiar, safe environment such as their school or respite setting may be their only opportunity to experience this special tradition.

"Many of the organisations supporting these children and young adults rely heavily on funding and donations.

"As a mum to a disabled son, I know how much these services mean to families.

"This appeal is my way of giving something back to the organisations that have supported my own family, while helping bring a little extra Christmas magic to so many others."

As part of her Christmas appeal, Suzanne is asking for donations of chocolate treats, including selection boxes, sweets, and biscuits.

Donations can be dropped off at several collection points, including The Black Star pub, Tesco, and Windwill Wonderland florist in Stourport, and the Starbucks Drive-Thru and Dunelm in Kidderminster.

Suzanne is also hoping to get local businesses, schools, and organisations involved with the appeal.

She said: "I’m asking for donations of selection boxes, tubs of sweets, boxes of biscuits and other chocolate treats.

"Alternatively, people can donate via our QR code, allowing us to purchase suitable treats for the different ages and needs of the children and young adults we support.

"Every donation, big or small, helps us spread a little extra Christmas magic."
