'HEARTBROKEN' parents have said that a soft play area will be a 'core memory' for children in Kidderminster after its closure was announced.
Kidz Barn, which is located in the Steve Morris Building on Stadium Close and owned by Sam Grebby, will close its doors in January 2027.
According to Sam, who took over the business in January 2017 before opening its doors in April 2017, an 'amalgamation' of factors has led to her decision to step away from the popular indoor soft play area.
Sam announced the impending closure of the Kidz Barn on social media and, in the days following, received more than 100 comments from parents, many of whom thanked the soft play area for their 'caring and personal' touch.

Much-loved Kidderminster soft play area to close after 10 'amazing' years
One parent, Vanessa Goodall, said that the soft play area was the 'best place' to watch her children grow and play, and said that Kidz Barn will always be a core memory for many children in Kidderminster.
"You've been the best place to watch my children grow and play," Vanessa said.
"The friendliest of people, even if it wasn't such a great day, tired, stressed, there was always a good coffee and chat waiting, so that didn't matter here; children could play, and mom could just breathe.
"Thank you for always being so fabulous and great at what you do.
"You will always be a core memory to most of these little town children for your fabulous parties, great equipment and beaming personalities.
"You will be missed, wishing you all the very best in your new adventures."
Other parents also reacted to the news of the soft play area's closure, with some saying they were 'heartbroken', and others keen to thank Sam and her staff for creating a 'safe space' for their children.
One parent said: "I can’t thank you all enough for being our safe space.
"We will never forget what you have done for Special Educational Needs (SEN) families like ours.
"I feel heartbroken but totally understand why this is the right time for you guys to start an exciting new chapter."
Another parent said: "There will never be staff at any soft play that are as caring and personal as you all are. We are really going to miss you."
