A couple have raised £300 for a children’s hospice through a spooky fundraiser.

Peter and Marie Forsyth, who live on Hawfinch Rise in Kidderminster, collected the funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice on Halloween by selling scratch cards to trick-or-treaters.

Cara Taylor-Mills said: "Each year gets bigger and better. This year Peter and Marie decided that they would like to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice by buying scratch cards that trick-or-treaters could purchase to win a prize.

"All funds raised will be donated to help children celebrate Halloween the best way possible."

The couple’s home has become a popular Halloween destination, with visitors travelling from across the area to see their decorations and costumes.

They said the event is just as enjoyable for adults as it is for children.

Marie Forsyth said: "Although we raised £300 on Halloween, there are still family and friends donating. All funds will be taken to Acorns on Saturday."

The couple have thanked the community for its support and said they have enjoyed years of fun hosting the event.

They also expressed their gratitude to everyone who bought scratch cards and donated on the night calling it a "fantastic evening."
