A winding-up petition has been filed against the owners of a former gym in Kidderminster.

HYPR Fitness on Weavers Wharf closed in June with a sign appearing on the entrance to the gym.

The sign said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, this site is now permanently closed."

There are now forfeiture notices in the windows of the gym "on behalf of Parkinson Bailiff Services Ltd".

It says the locks on the property have been changed and the equipment "goods "are being held at the address for collection.

The closure earlier this year came days after customers noticed "To Let" signs had appeared outside the gym building.

According to Caseboard, a winding-up petition has now been filed against Blu Fitness SW Ltd.

It is listed as being filed in October by LCP Estates Ltd.

The unit is now being marketed for rent by Creative Retail, with the price revealed on application.

Being centrally located, Weavers Wharf is described as a "strong retail and food and beverage offering" with approximately 420 on site customer car spaces plus 546 on the adjoining Tesco's site.

The retail park is home to national chains including Caffè Nero, B&M, TK Maxx, Boots, Sports Direct, McDonald’s, and Premier Inn.

The property listing highlights its prime location, offering good vehicular access.

It describes the site as an "edge of centre hybrid scheme" that serves as a pedestrian link to the high street and the adjacent Tesco Superstore.

The available unit offers over 24,000 sq ft of leisure space and is available on a new fully repairing and insuring lease, with terms to be agreed.

There is an annual service charge of around £53,000 plus VAT, which includes refuse collection, and an annual insurance charge of £8,322 plus VAT.

The property has E Class planning use, though interested parties are advised to make their own enquiries.

Kidderminster is a market town approximately 15 miles northwest of Worcester City Centre and 17 miles southwest of Birmingham City Centre.

It has a population of around 55,000, with a catchment of 79,000 within a 10 minute drive and 460,000 within a 30 minute drive.
