TWO primary school youngsters said ‘I do’ in a make-believe wedding as part of their religious education studies.
Six-year-old Alexia Akathiotis walked down the aisle at Wilden All Saints Church to “wed” her “groom”, Louis Kain, 7.
Year one and two pupils of Wilden All Saints CE Primary School took part in the event as part of a lesson on celebrations.
They shared the roles of bridesmaids, page boys, best man and ushers and enjoyed a reception after the ceremony, with a cake and dancing.
Teacher, Sue Darby, said: “The kids loved it. They were so excited and their parents also attended the service.
“It was a lovely day. We had food and the kids got all dressed up. It was just like a proper wedding and they even had rings.”
