ORGANISERS of fund-raising activities at Kemp Hospice can rest their voices, thanks to a donation from Tesco.

The supermarket has given £300 to pay for a new public address system for the hospice. It will be used for fund-raising events such as the popular Midnight Walk, which attracted more than 300 participants in June.

Alastair Fuller, community fund-raiser at the Kidderminster hospice, said: “We need a PA system at events so we can organise people and everyone can be heard without us shouting.

“We usually have to hire the equipment when we need it, so this will save us a lot of money.

“We are very grateful to them and I think that particularly it’s really good for the patients to know that there is such a lot of support locally for what we do.”

Kemp Hospice has provided care and support for people living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in Wyre Forest for more than 25 years.
