THE day and location of police surgeries held by the Franche local policing team in Kidderminster is changing.

The sessions, held by Community Support Officer Nicky Merson and PC Paul Noke, are changing to the first Tuesday of every month at Franche Community Church, with the first meeting on October 7.

The surgeries were previously held on the first Thursday of every month at the police office at Franche Community School.

The time of the surgeries will remain the same - 9am to 11am.

The surgeries are in addition to, not instead of, PACT - Partners and Communities Together - meetings, and cater for people who prefer to raise an issue in the privacy of a surgery rather than at a public PACT meeting or for those who find it difficult to attend PACT meetings, for example because they have young children or work shifts.

The next Franche PACT meeting is on Monday, October 6, at 7pm at Franche Community School when updates will be given on the priorities identified at the last meeting on June 30 - anti social behaviour at White Wickets, underage drinking in Mouse Lane, use of mini motos and air rifles on Puxton Marsh, and calls for the alleyway between Franche Road and Chestnut Grove to be tidied up.
