COOKLEY Rainbows enlisted the help of community support officer, Kate Easthope, when they staged a litterpick to clean up the village.
Rainbows leader, Tasha George and Wyre Forest Community warden, Kevin Roy, organised the clear-up.
Several local teenagers also turned up to help supervise the younger children taking part in The Big Tidy Up, a national campaign encouraging communities to help rid their streets of litter.
CSO Easthope said: “The children worked well together as a group and clearly enjoyed themselves. It was great seeing them getting stuck in to improve the environment and look after their neighbourhood.“
Cookley’s local policing team and Mr Roy are hoping to involve other groups in the area in future litterpicks.
