Festival organisers are proud and delighted to have been chosen by 'The Campaign for Learning' as the focus for the Midlands Launch for 'Family Learning 2009. Bewdley Festival has always included family events in its programme and many of these have encouraged families to discover their talents and new skills. Following last year's meeting with Christine Blowman from 'The Campaign for Learning', a number of 2008 events were identified and advertised as 'Family Learning Opportunities'.
This year 'Family Learning Events' will be advertised on our website (www.bewdleyfestival.org.uk)and in the programme for the month long OctoberFest. Events will include 'The Big Draw' and other creative activities at the Bishops Wood Centre, Digital Photography at Bewdley Primary School, Brass Rubbing at the Museum, Family History, Craft Workshops, African Drumming, Ceramic Decoration and Farm Walks.
The Midlands Launch will take place during the main Festival on Thursday 15th October at 2.45pm with a formal ceremony at the Museum followed by participation in family learning activities by invited guests and local community members with their families.
