JASON Bradbury, energetic presenter of television’s The Gadget Show, entertained more than 800 young people from across Worcestershire at a Wyre Forest school.

The popular gadget man was promoting his book, Dot Robot, at Stourport High School and Sixth Form Centre last Wednesday with two special performances of his new roadshow.

The morning session was enjoyed by 420 Years 5 and 6 pupils from Burlish Park Primary School, St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School, Wilden All Saints CE Primary School, Hartlebury CE Primary School, Stourport Primary School and Lickhill Primary School.

Afterwards, he put on a second performance for students from Stourport High School, Nunnery Wood High School, Droitwich Spa High School, King Charles I High School and Christopher Whitehead Language College.

Julie Benkwitz, the Stourport secondary school's librarian, said: “The pupils had a fantastic time. Jason showed them images of some of the robots he has made and seen around the world and shared stories with them related to working on The Gadget Show.

“He read from his book and finished by getting pupils to take part in a robot race. The atmosphere was electric.

“Jason energetically entertained the pupils, with lots of audience participation, laughter, gadgets and robots.

“It was fantastic to look around the room at the young people’s faces to see how engaged they were. They hung on Jason’s every word.”

Fay Green, of Stourport Primary School, added: ‘It was absolutely fantastic. He was brilliant. All the children had such a good time.”

The event was organised by Stourport High School and Sixth Form Centre’s additional learning facility, working in collaboration with the Stourport Life Skills Partnership funded by the ContinU Trust via Wyre Forest Schools.
