PATIENTS from Kemp Hospice will be encouraged to get in touch with their artistic side after the organisation was awarded £980 from Wyre Forest's XPRESSION grants scheme.
The money will be used to pay for an artist to work with the patients twice a week for six weeks in order to help them create their own pieces.
Residents will be working with a variety of different mediums, including photography, paint and textiles, and concentrating on the themes of nature and autumn.
Their work will then be displayed in an exhibition at Kidderminster Library in March next year.
Fund-raiser Beth Hillyard said: “This money has allowed us to bring in a good artist to work with the patients and pay for canvases.
“Without the money we would have used volunteers but this allows us to something really great. The patients’ work will be on display for a month at Kidderminster Library.”
The application was spearheaded by the hospice’s creative therapist Toni McEvoy.
