A MAN has been arrested after cannabis was seized during a raid in Bewdley.

Police officers, including a dog handler, executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Richmond Road at around 9am yesterday. They seized hydroponic equipment used for the cultivation of cannabis along with a quantity of herbal cannabis.

The warrant was sought as a result of information received by the police from the local community.

The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and taken to Kidderminster Police Station for questioning.
