THE candidates for the Wyre Forest parish elections have been announced.

The date of the elections is set to change due to the Parliamentary and Wyre Forest District Council elections both taking place on May 6.

Elections for the contested parish council seats are due to be officially postponed after the notice of poll is given for the general election on April 20.

Once that happens elections for these seats will be pushed back to May 27 with an additional nomination period between April 21 and 29.

If the seats are not contested the relevant parish clerks can co-opt the nominated candidates as of May 6. The uncontested seats will be announced on Tuesday.
