POLICE are looking to trace the owners of items including a games console and an ipod believed to have been stolen from cars in Kidderminster.

Some of the seized items, including a satellite navigation system, have been traced back to addresses on the Waterside Grange development, including Peacock Mews and Ox Bow Way.

However, owners are sought for the rest of the property which includes an iPod, hats, a PlayStation and Wii games.

It is thought to have been taken from parked vehicles in that area between midnight and 4.30am on Friday, March 26.

Police were called to Waterside Grange at around 4.30am that morning after it was reported someone was attempting to steal a car.

Officers subsequently arrested three men nearby on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles and questioned them at Kidderminster Police Station.

They were released on police bail pending further inquiries.

PC Gemma Melsopp said: “If people living in and around the Waterside Grange area have property missing from their cars and think some of the items we have seized may be theirs then we would urge them to get in touch as it would be very helpful to our investigation.”

Anyone who thinks some of the property may belong to them or has information should call PC Melsopp at Kidderminster Police Station on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident reference 059-S-260310. Alternatively anyone with information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
