CARNIVAL-goers turned out to enjoy the fun at Wolverley’s annual extravaganza.
The procession at Saturday’s carnival was led by the Bewdley Scout and Guide Marching Band, followed by the Navy Training Corps T.S.Ocean.
Carnival queen, Louise Rotheram, princess, Alicia Hicks and rosebud, Olivia Jay, were escorted in a decorated classic Land Rover.
There were six floats, nine classic Minis, a vintage three-wheeler and classic sports cars and scooters in the parade.
It travelled through the village before arriving at the Wolverley Memorial Hall Field for the village fete, where about 2,000 people were entertained by the marching band and Wolverley Sebright Primary School morris and maypole dancers.
There was also a bouncy castle, wood carving demonstrations, archery, a coconut shy and music lovers were entertained by local band, the Cissy Bus.
Charles Sherrey, chairman of the carnival team, said: “All pitches on the ground were sold out a month in advance of the carnival and there was a range of things to do and see for all the family.
“The carnival team would like to thank all the helpers on the day and the people of Wolverley for turning out to make this another great day in Wolverley.”
