THE Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre had a 15 per cent improvement on GCSE results this year.
Sixty-four per cent of students achieved 5A* to C grades, including English and mathematics, with 74 per cent achieving at least 5A*-C. All students achieved a qualification.
Headteacher, Julie Reilly, said: “These results enable young people to realise their ambitions at post 16 and secure an excellent foundation to enter further education or the working world.”
Assistant headteacher, Geraint Thomas, said: “These are fantastic results, reflecting hard work from students and staff and support from our parents.”
Sam Barnsley achieved eight A* grades and five A grades. He said: ”I am pleased with my results and looking forward to continuing my education at Bewdley.”
Hannah Muller Jones attained six A* grades, five As and two Bs. She said: “I am thrilled with my results and looking forward to starting my A level courses at the school.”
James Kowalik took home three A*s, seven As and two Bs. He said: “I am excited and pleased and can’t wait to start my A-levels.”
