A KIDDERMINSTER school which was closed for an extra five days when contractors failed to get temporary classrooms ready for the new term, has opened today.

Pupils of Offmore Primary School, which is being rebuilt to cater for an increase in pupil numbers, returned to their lessons this morning.

They were supposed to go back to school last Wednesday but the temporary classrooms they were being taught in while the building work is carried out on the school site were not ready.

The contractors, Sibcas Ltd, admitted that they could not deliver the temporary classrooms to schedule.
