BRIDGE CLUB - Following two weeks of playing a Mitchell movement it was decided to have a change and play a Howell movement over seven tables at the latest duplicate competition.
First place was taken by Doreen Round and Terry Lucey with 62 per cent, followed very closely in second place by Julian Taylor and Pat Smith with 59 per cent with Sarah Green and Nick Holcombe coming third on 54 per cent.
The winners of the previous week in north/south position were Steve Clifton and Davis Brown with 61 per cent followed by Barbara and John Northfield some nine per cent behind with 52 per cent. The east/west position winners were Nick Holcombe and Sarah Green on 59 per cent followed very closely by Sally Clifton and Ella Batten with 58 per cent.
The club meets every Tuesday with play commencing at 6.45pm. Anyone wishing to join will be made welcome. To book in please telephone Pat Smith on 01299 270592.
