IT was best foot forward for Jenny Knowles as she strode out in aid of Age Concern Wyre Forest.
Mrs Knowles, 59, hopes to have raised £140 for the charity after walking a total of 10 miles, from Kidderminster to Bewdley and from Shrawley to Worcester.
The walk was part of the Age Concern Challenge, a national initiative to attract sponsorship cash and raise awareness of the cause.
Mrs Knowles, of Welch Gate, Bewdley, is a senior support officer with the Wyre Forest branch of the charity, based at the Tulip Tree Centre, Castle Road, Kidderminster.
Wyre Forest District Council chairman, Councillor James Dudley, saw Mrs Knowles off from the centre as she set off on the walk.
She said that with the population living longer, Age Concern was keen to raise money to help older people live independently in their own homes.
