DANCE students at Kidderminster College are celebrating after being offered places at some of the country’s top dance schools.

The BTEC National Diploma students have completed their two-year course and are now eagerly awaiting their results.

The successful five are 18-year-olds Nina Bridgewater-Bagnall, who is hoping to join the Northern Ballet School and Ruth Pugh, who has been offered a place at the UK's only conservatoire of music and contemporary dance - Trinity Laban.

Grace Bowen has set her sights on a place with the London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS), while Matt Hooper plans to join the Doreen Bird College. Leanne Bowater is hoping to join The Centre Performing Arts College, in Kent.

Tutor Anna Lines said: “I’m extremely proud of this year’s students. They have worked extremely hard to achieve the standards demanded in this highly competitive field.

“We pride ourselves on offering a stimulating and challenging course here at Kidderminster College and the end result is having students who develop and grow in confidence – there’s no better feeling! They have done us proud.”
