A NEW business caring for older people in their own homes which has opened its doors in Hagley hopes to create 30 jobs.
Home Instead Senior Care will provide care across an area including Stourbridge, Wordsley, Halesowen, Hagley and Belbroughton.
For owner Lorna Bath, 42, the venture builds on her career as a nurse in the care sector.
She worked as a nurse in surgical, haematology, oncology and oncology trials, then moved to the West Midlands, where she worked at the City Hospital in Birmingham.
Five years ago she left the hospital with an ambition to run her own business. In the intervening years she has worked in a nursery and as a clerk for a governor of a local primary school.
Ms Bath explained: “I knew that I wanted to continue to work in a caring environment and so Home Instead was perfect.”
She went on: “We need people who want a rewarding and flexible career delivering care to people in their own homes.”
