Worcestershire County Council is inviting children to take part in a Roald Dahl Day with Kidderminster Library.
Children aged 7-12 years and their parents are invited to the library on Saturday, September 14, from 2-4pm to celebrate the children's author with a Roald Dahl Fancy Dress Party.
The event is free and tickets for children need to be booked in advance as places are limited.
Fancy dress is also a must and children should come along as their favourite Roald Dahl character. There will be prizes for the best costumes and children aged 7-12 years can join in the Roald Dahl day fun activities including lots of party games and stories.
A free DVD lending voucher is also on offer to those who bring a friend to the library who isn't already a member and the friend will also receive a DVD lending voucher.
Caroline Faulkner, the Kidderminster Library manager, said: "This is a great opportunity to celebrate the great works of Roald Dahl in a fun and engaging way. Based on previous experience, we are expecting some great creations for the fancy dress competition but the important thing is to join in and have fun. Don't forget to book your ticket today."
Tickets are available from the library or can be booked online (www.worcestershire.gov.uk/kidderminsterlibrary) and picked up from the library. For more information contact the library by email kidderminsterlib@worcestershire.gov.uk or call the Worcestershire Hub Libraries and Learning number on 01905 822722.
