AROUND 70 youngsters from Crowle, near Worcester, re-lived a Christmas tradition when they took part in a Christingle service in the village church.
The Children's Society first introduced Christingle to the Church of England in 1968 and it has become one of its most popular annual events for children and families.
At St John the Baptist church, Crowle, children all received an orange dressed with a red ribbon to represent the crucified Christ, four sticks for the four seasons of the year and sweets to represent the harvest.
