I HOPE councillors are all proud of their part in the the wholesale destruction of a beautiful place – Hartlebury Common.

They are depriving a whole generation of beauty by the senseless felling of valuable oak trees – for what?

All this at a time when the countryside is under pressure from ash dieback. What are they thinking? How can they be trusted in office if they allow this?

It has taken nature 100 years to heal the scars of the industrial rape of the land for sand in the 1900s.

Back then it looked like a First World War landscape and they are trying to roll nature back to that! Why?

Who wants to see that again? The removal of naturally evolved woodland has gone too far. It needs to stop before it’s too late. PLEASE.

I am truly saddened by this irresponsibility.
