I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the drivers that failed to stop and help a mother and child that were involved in a road traffic collision on the Bewdley by-pass last Tuesday evening.

I was travelling in the opposite direction from Far Forest. Realising that an accident had occurred I travelled for nearly two miles before being able to turn around to go back up the by-pass; passing some 30 or 40 cars that were travelling towards the accident.

To find I was first to arrive at the scene left me speechless – I only hope if any of those people ever need help at the roadside in the future, people will be more inclined to stop for them!

Furthermore, despite having hazard lights on and flashing my lights continuously on the way down the bypass people continued to travel at speed, overtaking as they went up the by-pass. How no other vehicles were involved is a miracle.
