I RECENTLY responded to a consultation request from the county council’s countryside services site team regarding the Blackstone Riverside Park at Ribbesford.
My concerns regarded the condition of the car park and in particular the short driveway to the car park which has some very large pot holes, with a deep one under the gateway to the park. I have reported these pot holes several times for over a year and property services say it is on the list to do.
As someone else has already asked, I suggested that the name of the park be changed to Ribbesford Riverside Park as it is on the opposite side of the river from Blackstone and its Blackstone Picnic Area.
I understand that this name has caused confusion with the emergency services in the past. However countryside services say they do not intend to change its name.
