THANKS to all the organisers of the Stourport Regatta who excelled in the helping out for all the crews and visitors.
It was nice to see the enthusiastic junior rowers and the much older competitors join in the spirit of the event.
The bar staff and food counter staff were very pleasant.
I never even noticed the rain on Saturday. A small fire broke out on the Sunday on the hamburger stall, but it was put out quickly and no one was injured. The only problem was the main announcer.
Like British rail, you couldn’t understand what he was saying. More children and adults should take up the sport, rowers are more fitter and happier than any other sport.
I know, I used to row for Bewdley.
Well done Stourport.
