I rarely put pen to paper but I feel very strongly about the treatment Bewdley Town FC have received from the district council regarding their floodlights.
I am a born and bred Bewdley person who played for the Comrades in the 1950s and have supported Bewdley Town recently, so I feel I am entitled to a say.
First of all credit must be given to the people who have got Bewdley Town where they are today and obstacles should not be put in their way.
Their success is giving youths in this area a big interest in keeping fit, a purpose and is also keeping them off the streets. So the district council should give them some support and encouragement and not the opposite.
