THE state of Kidderminster's roads are disgraceful. The blame for this must fall with MPs and council officials in our area and, in fact, the whole country.

They have allowed this to happen over many years of neglect, lack of investment and not having an effective road maintenance plan in operation.

Very soon, if not already, our roads will be in the same sorry state that the rail system found itself in. We all know how much this is now costing to renovate.

Our road system is the lifeline of the country, both for commerce and for the public to get around. We live in a 21st century world and we need a road infrastructure that allows us to get around and use our road systemas such.

Filling as few pot holes will no longer suffice.
