I read with interest the article regarding Bewdley Town FC problems concerning their floodlights.

Maybe there was an agreement that their lights should be lowered after each match, though really does it matter that much if the lights are left up?

Bewdley Town have been brilliant over the years encouraging our local youth to play football at a club with good facilities. I do sympathise with the club. Bewdley Town always seem to be facing a battle of some kind.

Over the years the Wyre Forest area has lost some excellent football pitches, particularly along the Stourport Road area.

It does not appear to be a problem to throw up a load of industrial units or to build a supermarket here and there, but when it comes to sporting facilities it's like "let the battle commence".

Bewdley Town have made one huge mistake, they should have changed their name to Tesco Express Rovers FC.
