Regarding the multi -million pound regeneration project in Bewdley which has the support of Wyre Forest District Council, surely it will be the death knell for all the Load Street shops and traders if the car park is closed and then pedestrianised as envisaged by this scheme.
The through access for today’s traffic takes an awful lot of vehicles away from the Welch Gate -Load Street junction and going in the other direction. If the Load Street car park is closed, people won’t park in Gardeners Meadow and walk all the way back to the shops, they will continue over the bridge to shop in Kidderminster.
The sick and infirm will have no easy access to the medical centre.
This scheme has been badly publicised and needs a lot of public debate before it becomes a fait accompli.
