A NOTORIOUS Kidderminster speed camera was set on fire last night (Monday, May 30) alerting Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews.
The Wolverhampton Road speed trap, as well as a tyre, had to be extinguished by the Kidderminster Fire station crew using a hose reel at about 11.45pm.
Just under an hour later, at about 12.29am this morning (May 31), the Kidderminster crew attended a property in Sion Hill, Wolverley, after being called about a smell of smoke.
The firefighters found a small fire in a ground floor room and were able to put out the flames using water backpacks.
Earlier yesterday evening at about 10.31pm, the crew were dispatched to a crash in Green Street involving a single car.
No people were trapped or injured in the incident, which the fire service crew made safe.
