AN animal sanctuary near Kidderminster is inviting the public to meet some of its lucky residents at an open day.
Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries, in Milson near Kidderminster, will hold the event on Sunday, August 8, welcoming visitors to the 92-acre site to meet their host of animals.
The sanctuary is one of largest farm animal sanctuaries in the UK and since opening, it has become the home of more than 300 rescued, abused and abandoned animals including pigs, cows, sheep, goats, hens and turkeys.
The open day will also feature a children's scavenger hunt, face painting, and other activities, vegan food and drink, cookery workshops, forest schools, yoga classes, animal talks, a tombola, craft stalls and more.
Entry costs £4 for adults and children aged five and over. Those under five can go free. People can book tickets via www.goodheartanimalsanctuaries.com/summer-open-day-2021.
