Time is running out for disabled and elderly people in Wyre Forest to claim their £35 taxi tokens before they are axed!
Wyre Forest District Council will be axing taxi tokens on 30th June 2010.
Disability Action Wyre Forest is very disappointed by this decision.
Disability Action Wyre Forest believes the financial savings are minimal compared to the social exclusion suffered by disabled and elderly people in Wyre Forest.
Disability Action Wyre Forest will not be asking Wyre Forest District Council to reconsider their decision but call on the electorate in Wyre Forest to ask their local councillor how much they value disabled and elderly people.

For people who don’t have internet access applications can be made in person at Wyre Forest customer service centre (Worcestershire Hub) Kidderminster Town Hall Vicar street Kidderminster.
