We bowed our heads and fell silent to reflect on the sacrifice of those who died in two world wars and other conflicts.

At the Kidderminster Parade we played an active part, taking the lead role marshalling the event, local scouts and leaders handed out the service sheets at the war memorial. Scout Amberley aged 13 from the 21st Kidderminster Air Scouts carried the District Flag. The wreathe was laid upon the War Memorial.

The 10th Kidderminster Scout Group (Cookley) took part in their village Parade and Church Service on the evening. The Flag Bearers were Beaver Scout James age 8 Cub Scouts Cameron aged 10 and Brianne aged 9, Scout Rachel, aged 12 along with Assistant Scout Leader Jamie Brighton. The wreathe was laid by Beaver Scout Jacob aged 7 on behalf of the group.

The 12th Kidderminster Scout Group - Blakedown Cub Scouts were invited to the Remembrance Parade at Clent for 2011 Remembrance Sunday, where they joined the local British Legion and Brownies. Led by the Legion, the parade marched from Clent Parish Hall to St Leonard's for a very well attended Remembrance Service. The Cubs were joined by three Blakedown Scouts who were made very welcome. Comment was made that everyone in the group was smart, well turned out and very well behaved, so I would like to thank them all for that. They are a credit to Blakedown Scout Group and Kidderminster & District Scouting. Sam aged 9, the flag bearer, did an excellent job because there had been no rehearsal. He was chosen just before the start of the parade and had to perform 'on the fly' taking his lead from the British Legion. Bravo Sam. Joseph aged 10 laid our wreathe in good order at St Leonard's memorial after the service.

Kidderminster & District Scout Commissioner Julie Goodyear said "I am delighted to see so many young people in Scouting, and of course their Leaders, turn out to join the Parades and church services throughout the district on Remembrance Sunday. These youngsters attend voluntarily, and I can only commend their exemplary behaviour and thoughtfulness at this special time - I'm very proud of them"
