Each October the Beaver Scouts of Kidderminster & District join together to give thanks for Beaver Scouting and to learn about a worthwhile cause or charity they can support in some way.

2012 was no exception and over 90 6-8 year old members; with their leaders, families & friends; came together at St. Celia's Church on Hoo Road, Kidderminster.

The 1st Kidderminster Sea Beaver Scout Colony, helped by Geoff Surridge & a team of St Celia parishioners, told all present about the super work being done at the "Under Tree Schools" project in Malek, South Sudan. The many enjoyable songs and interesting information about the project ensured every one came away not only having had a great time but with lots more knowledge about this very worth while venture.

A collection during the service raised a mighty £150 for which both 1st Kidderminster Sea Beaver Scout Colony and St. Celia's "team" would like to say a big thank you to all present for giving so generously. The money will certainly make a difference in the lives of other less fortunate young people.
