The annual Mayor's Parade and Church Service was on Sunday 10th June 2012. Cookley Scouters and support staff from the group were on hand to do their bit marshaling. The parade formed up at 10:45am in New Road Car Park , moving off at 11:00am. We made our way to St Mary's Church for the mayor's service.
Once the service finished the parade reassemble in St Mary's Ringway. The Mayor and other local dignitaries moved off first to line up outside the town hall to take the salute. The parade was then dismissed back in New Road Car Park.
The mayor John Aston very kindly carried out a duty for the Kidderminster & District Scout Commissioner Julie Goodyear by presenting Marcus Cousins a cookley scouter with his 15 year service certificate in the Town Hall.
Congratulations to Marcus.
