MOUNTAINEERING CLUB – The latest weekend meet took place in the Newlands Valley in the Lake District. On the Saturday, several members walked the skyline round the valley, including the peaks of Hindscarth, Dale Head, High Spy and finally Cat Bells.
On the Sunday, the club walked the High Stile-Red Pike ridge above Buttermere.
The club has regular weekend meets in North Wales and the Lake District and always welcomes new members, who are interested in hillwalking or climbing. Ability or experience is not important. Contact can be made via www.bewdley mountaineeringclub.co.uk or on 01299 871724.
