MASSES of Daffodils are up and blooming at Arley Arboretum and gardens which has reopened to the public.

They will carry on growing until mid April when they will be joined by tulips, block planted to increase their intensity of colour in the Italian garden, which is thrumming with bees and filled with birdsong.

From late April to early May the bluebell display, one of the arboretum’s most popular attractions, will be filling the woods with colour and scent.

Meanwhile, for one month from March 16 to April 17, the arboretum is offering half-price entry for adults after 3pm.
